Down will oversee both brand and digital departments while also becoming a shareholder in the company.

During his 14 years at LGT, Down has worked to bring forward major briefs for firms including car manufacturer, MG Motor; aviation company, eCube Aero; Football Association Wales and cider brand Kicking Goat.

In the move, co-founder Andy Rees will move away from his creative director role to concentrate on further developing the central business to harness growth opportunities.

Down, who has more than 20 years of experience in the industry and is a Cardiff Metropolitan University graduate, has covered rebrands and projects of all scales, touch-points and geographical reaches.

“We’ve always been focussed on raising brands through elevation and nurturing, and our portfolio is testament to this, with many client relationships spanning years. Established 20 years ago by Andy and Beverley Rees, LGT has gone onto work both nationally and internationally, with hundreds of brands, bodies and organisations across all sectors.
